Practice and Profesional Career
Javier Comparini-Cuetto is an Associate of Legalsa, where he works in the Dispute Resolution Practice. His work focuses on constitutional litigation. He supports and collaborates with the firm’s lawyers in the preparation and submission of writs of Amparo, actions of unconstitutionality and other actions on constitutional grounds that may arise in ongoing disputes, transactions or cases. Javier conducts research and performs analyses of national and international doctrine, legislation and jurisprudence. He specializes on issues of human rights, comparative constitutional law and international law.
Much of Javier´s professional career has been in academia, working for the School of Law of Universidad Francisco Marroquín: he was an assistant professor of Constitutionalism and the Constitutional State and of Fundamental Rights; he was part of a team charged with innovating the teaching of Law and creating a new curriculum; and, for 3 years, he was the coordinator of the International Competitions Program and coached the student teams who represented the university in the World Trade Organization’s John H. Jackson Moot Court Competition and the International Criminal Court Moot Court Competition.
Javier is currently doing his master’s studies at Harvard University.
